I’ve learned a lot in my teen years so far. I’ve loved. I’ve lost. Been suicidal, been way too happy to put into words. I’ve learned to not let shit get to you. To look at the upsides of
everything, or at least try to find them if nothing else. I’ve learned to take the bad things with a grain of salt, and to take the good things like a multi-billion dollar check. I used to write depressing songs about break ups because I let myself stay sad. I’ve learned to be happy. With every bad time, a good time is sure to show. I picked “nil
desperandum” as the album name because it’s what we all need to do. We need to quit stressing over shit and just be happy. I think this album holds a sort of optimistic tone to it, even in the sad, hatemylife emo depressing songs.
Everything has an optimistic end to it. Just like every down moment in life should.
