Dark Fairytales by Arrowwood

We are pleased to inform that we have released three records of the amazing American psych / dark-folk project Arrowwood. Two albums, "Hemlock And Spindle Flower" and "Eye Of Ivy, Thorn And Moss", were previously released only as DIY CDr, were instantly sold out and very quickly became "rarities". The third album, "Dark Fairytales", contains ten previously unreleased exclusive tracks, supplemented with material from the split recording with Novemthree, also released in DIY canons. "Hemlock And Spindle Flower" has been remastered for this release.

Arrowwood is the "one-girl" project of multi-instrumentalist Chelsea Robb, positioning herself as "forest folk". Her music is addressed to Wiccan rituals, forgotten spells and mysterious forces that inhabit the depths of forest thickets. However, Arrowwood's music has its own unique sound, largely due to the truly unearthly voice of Chelsea, and the atmosphere that plunges the listener into a state of light autumn sadness.

Despite the fact that the project is little known on the background of the titans of the dark folk scene, in the circles of connoisseurs it has long earned a cult status, including thanks to the collaborations with Novemthree and Kim Larsen’s Solanaceae.

"Dark Fairytales" is a collection of previously unreleased songs spanning a period of perhaps 15 years. These many years of experimenting with music and song through Arrowwood has taken me down many paths inside the self and out. All created music is an expression of the deeper self and it's wondering or pains, never perfect or always understandable but there... The very center of the self and all the magic or darkness or wonder or sadness that entails...

С радостью сообщаем вам, что на нашем лейбле вышло переиздание трёх записей удивительного американского psych / dark-folk проекта Arrowwood. Два альбома, "Hemlock And Spindle Flower" и "Eye Of Ivy, Thorn And Moss", издавались ранее лишь ограниченными самиздатными тиражами на CDr, были моментально распроданы и очень быстро стали «раритетами». Третий альбом, "Dark Fairytales", представляет собой десять ранее не издававшихся эксклюзивных композиций, дополненных материалом с совместной записи с Novemthree, выпущенной также по всем DIY-канонам.

Arrowwood — проект одной девушки-мультиинструменталистки Chelsea Robb, позиционирующий себя как "лесной фолк", музыка которого обращена к викканским ритуалам, забытым заклинаниям и таинственным силам, что обитают в глубине лесных чащ. При этом творчество Arrowwood обладает своим неповторимым звучанием, во многом благодаря поистине неземному голосу Челси, и атмосферой, погружающей слушателя в состояние светлой осенней грусти.

Несмотря на то, что проект малоизвестен на фоне титанов дарк-фолк сцены, в кругах ценителей он давно заслужил культовый статус, в том числе и благодаря коллаборациям с Novemthree и Solanaceae Кима Ларсена.
