Wild Dog by Coda The Dragon

sometimes it takes time to find a sound. it took a little time, but I finally found something I like making.

this project started with the end of my formal education. coming out into the world after college has been tumultuous, and I've only now come to a settled place with what I feel I can do and what I want to do next. the music that flowed out at the beginning of the year was angry, spiteful, hurt, all the things it should have been in that time, but none of it made a difference, none of it made it to this release.

I spent a lot of time feeling stuck, just feeling like I was spinning my wheels despite still technically moving forward quite fast, I have a job now, and wonderful students who inspire me whenever I see them. eventually I realized I didn't have to care what others thought anymore, there was no one to correct or guide me any more, I was free to just, do my thing.

and then the ambient music started to flow.

ambient was the genre I had always been centered towards, but no one around me really cared for it, and I couldn't make it properly without recently acquired skills. this made it the perfect opportunity to dive into this experiment now, I love the music I'm making, and I hope you do too.
