OUTLAWS OF THE SUN:

"Birmingham 2024 is the new live album from acclaimed Instrumental Doom/Stoner Metal masters Clouds Taste Satanic and is the first in a series of “Live In Studio” releases the band will be releasing. The first volume was recorded in Birmingham, UK which is considered the holy land and birthplace of HEAVY METAL. The album features no overdubs at all which closely resembles how Clouds Taste Satanic sound LIVE.
The record features tracks from their albums 79 A.E., Evil Eye and Your Doom Has Come with each subsequent release hopefully having a different track list. The Birmingham edition is a great way to kick-start the series with Clouds Taste Satanic on heavy and inspired DOOMEDELIC form with their last acclaimed record 79 A.E. being performed within its spectacular glory. The sounds are sparse and full of gloomy determination with the band using the space around them for a deeper, meaningful and progressive sound especially on tracks such as Collision (Part III), Reclamation (Parts IV-IX) and Out Of The Abyss.

Clouds Taste Satanic sounds way more COSMIC and PSYCHEDELIC that I initially anticipated especially for a live record such as this. The music is crushingly heavy and sets Clouds Taste Satanic a breed apart from other instrumental bands within the underground scene. They’re masters at the top of their game and they’ve been like this for a very long time now and the band have earned the right to release a series of live albums instead of releasing new material.
If you haven’t seen Clouds Taste Satanic in concert before then Birmingham 2025 is the next best thing with the band giving their all from start to finish and playing some epic and familiar classic tracks along the way.

Birmingham 2024 is another must have release to add to the already expansive Clouds Taste Satanic collection and it’s only going to get bigger. So buckle up for an exciting ride where the atmosphere is raw, aggressive and moody as hell."

MONUMENTS IN RUIN:

"Swirling in a psychedelic nebula of heavy stoner psych, Birmingham 2024 by Clouds Taste Satanic takes you on a sonic journey worthy of sky chariots from the ancients.

Thundering through space and time, their radiating sunburst moves swiftly and without falter into the darkest of places. Unobstructed, it passes lightyears beyond the worlds we know. Its touch, a reflection of moments ago, brings a warmth and heartiness of future to the creatures that may witness the majestic spark. At times, weightless and gracefully living in combination with the heaviness of a neutron star, these songs carry us to new lands where our culture can be reborn.

As the new seed is planted, let it be nourished with the dedication and commitment that CTS brings to the table with every release."

DENPA FUZZ:

"The album reflects the New York band's good handling of cosmic-toned psychedelic doom sounds. These vibrations are majority in heavy songs that always offer an outlet to surrounding psychotropic spaces in an absolutely epic narrative."

INVENCIBLE:

"Their Doom/Stoner Metal approach is instrumental, cosmic and deep."

PLAYGROUNDZ ROCKS:

"The New York-based four-piece band Clouds Taste Satanic has released an incredible masterclass in instrumental stoner rock and stoner metal with their new album, "Birmingham 2024." This album delivers a powerful punch with perfectly balanced instrumentation and raw, organic tones. Each instrument is expertly crafted, resulting in a sound that is both polished and perfect."

STONER HIVE:

"It’s the first of a ‘Live In The Studio’ series and serves indeed as a document to the state of the band at that moment in time. The live feel and chosen quarter part of the Collision part followed by three quarters of Reclamation turn it into an entirely different animal, often pushing a more doom approach towards the surface. An extra hazy atmosphere, perhaps courtesy of Hellfire Studios in Birmingham, or because of a different pedal or two, make all the tracks more vaporous and trance inducing. Pagan Worship, pehaps becoming less ominious and more psychedelic. Deepening the chords struck within you and chiming that legendary bell, so as to give reference to the legends that came before. If the Live In The Studio series continues on throughout different studios across the globe, constantly bringing to live, and bearing the state current state of Clouds Taste Satanic, this might just turn out to be the series that every instrumental doom enthusiast needs to follow. This first chapter is worth it and shows a lot of promise for renewal.."
