Chuck Hammer is an American guitarist known for Textural Guitar with Lou Reed and David Bowie. Hammer's recorded work known as Guitarchitecture, is a process extending the Guitar's Textural vocabulary through a wide range of contexts and collaborations. Hammer's work on David Bowie's Scary Monsters and Lou Reed's Growing Up In Public were accorded pioneer status by Rolling Stone.
