Vivian-i by Chase Tremaine

Vivian-i is a project I conceived of earlier this summer, looking ahead to my daughter Vivian's first birthday (Aug 7) and thinking about the songs I'd written for her, the goofy musical jokes that have become staples in our household, the melodies I would hum to her while soothing her to sleep, and the short piano pieces that I'd written while she played behind me, jabbering in gibberish and clanging toys with a surprisingly in-time sense of percussion. I decided to spend the summer lumping these musical motifs together into one big birthday present for her: the serious and the silly, the instrumental and the vocal, the weird and the straightforward. Thus the mini-album titled Vivian-i (pronounced Vivian One) came to life, and it has become a very special project for me.

I currently do not plan on releasing this project on streaming services (other than the two singles, "Every" and "Ready"), so the only way to hear Vivian-i is by purchasing it here on Bandcamp or by becoming a member at friends.chasetremaine.com (for only $1 a month!), where you will also receive instrumental versions of these songs.
