I wrote this thinking it was a nice simple, and gentle piece. After a few takes in the studio it just wasn't really happening, so we changed it up and gave it a bit more of a mysterious vibe, at a faster tempo - I'm really happy with how it turned out. The harmonic movement is influenced by some of the techniques that my great friend and musical-brother Bram Weijters used in his Pendulum Suite, and I love the way Jon handles the rhythm in the one little metric change, every time it comes around.
