aerenchyma (channels of air-filled cavities in plants)
this collection features looping splashes of modular synthesiser recordings joined by environmental ambiences and field recordings. the tracks are all reworked and remastered from original disquiet junto submissions recorded between april 2023 and april 2024, some with added material, some reduced to bring out individual elements.
(the disquiet junto - https://disquiet.com/junto/ - organised by marc weidenbaum, is a group in which musicians respond to weekly prompts to record and share new music, 'using the constraints inherent in these assignments as a springboard for creativity'.)
