This record is constructed around ideas of the inner journey. To take a path desiring transformation guarantees no outcomes, but to travel it may evoke conditions that make the self mutable, tender, ripe to change. Often music is written with an audience in mind - folks who root for you or not - or with a goal to press some button on another person's emotional computer. However, much of this music was conceived as a set of meditations for myself: reflective, with no clear purpose other than to be, and looping in a manner which I found pleasing. The foundational tracks were just me delving - through Nathan's keen ear he drew out other shapes and colors. Sometimes these shapes fit together, or eventually fit together, but sometimes they just...existed. I am grateful for his friendship and musicality in this endeavor. I am grateful to Michael and Jerome as well for their additions to this recording and their willingness to let things be as they are.
