hometown by Cassie Wieland
Originally written for the Meyer Constellation & Spacemap surround sound system at National Sawdust in Brooklyn, 'hometown' is inspired by the complexity of nostalgia and the vast geography of Cassie's hometown of Normal, Illinois. She created the backing electronics for 'hometown' with sampled recordings of her synthesizer, her husband's vibraphone, and her own voice.
