Unknown Functions by Carcinomic

Finally concluding this chapter of my life. I have no more anger to direct towards this music and theme. Sorry for the delay, was facing everything between medical health to some very real depression. This album will be the last work for Carcinomic as it took entirely too long to put this out. Was never happy with tones or sounds, then decided I'd do real drums for a change instead of programming before calling it quits. Unknown Functions traces the story of an individual diagnosed (or misdiagnosed), with a chronic (non-specific autoimmune) illness, showing up to the ER finally tired of the symptoms. Songs are about the causes/self blame (Etiologies), the miscommunication between immune cells in the sense of a dysfunctional human relationship (Signals), a critique on the statistical approach to treatment of rare illnesses (Biostatistical Insignificance), and finally succumbing to it all (Sickening Pathogenesis). Alternate Hypothesis suggests hope in new technology, while Null Hypothesis suggests sticking to what we know based on our empiricism towards medical health. Is it profitable to care?

I hope that if you deal with a chronic or autoimmune illness-- you'll understand why I made this album exactly as I did. It took 30 years here to be on terms with my own nervous system. I am exhausted as a human being from it. Never sure how long I can keep fighting, but I do anyway. As the last lyric states, "this is my last stand". Stay strong out there, reach out for help if you need it. Anyone on metal-archives-- you can set this project to inactive after updating the page, and re-write my bio to mention this and Pyrrhic Salvation. I am done with this one.
