Late to the table but finally seated.
Always hungry always depleted.
It explains so much but nothing at all.
The introverted extrovert know-it-all.
Nutshelled that's me.
Over reaching over preaching.
Filters be damned truth be told.
I became older on the outside.
Younger on the inside.
Pride or ego or just dumb.
Over the years increasingly numb.
Knowledge is power so I learn.
Soaking up info with my head sponge.
Squeezing it back out at times.
Knowledge ferments into wisdom.
Over time wisdom ages well.
Fine wines spewing forth free as hell.
Words spill out staining the air.
Once there's a spot it's always there.
Forever flawed always noticed.
Ensured remembrance fleeting fear.
Momentary joy as new thoughts appear.
Times taken a toll it's worn me down.
Wish I'd known sooner it sucks.
But I'm here now thirsting for calm.
Hungry for the help in my 60's.
Ready to sample this buffet of life.

Started writing poetry as therapy after figuring out at 62 I am AuDHD with a huge splash of CPTSD which is a lot to find out. These poems are my unmasking journey. I think they will hit a nerve with some folks.
