It’s never a « new » year but a continuation of the previous one. This song about not wanting to die in the city, which could now be read in a very litteral way. But it’s not like there are many places left to escape it where we couldn’t be reached, so I go nowhere. It’s ok : city lights can be broken to look at the stars.
