breeze. The ocean holds a fierce attraction. Staring down from a cliff and into the deep, wanting to dive in. To fly and fall. To experience the calm oblivion of being completely submerged. Then to feel the sudden pull of light, of hope and for life. Yearning to surface from the depths again. The joy of that first vast miraculous breath!
Stones and bones. A daily meditation as walking, swimming and writing in
Crete. No land without stones. No sea without bones.
Vassallo echoes the rhythm of the waves with arpeggiated chords rising and falling throughout the track.
