FEELIN’ is a 10 track 7” lathe of bombastic improvised noise shaped by chance and random juxtaposition. Oscillators crackle and weave through the fish tank and into the filter, giving way to demented electroacoustic ditties, static pulses, raiding radio frequency and abstract drones. Restless tones battle for space in the saturated margins of scheduled intervals and evoke the experimental art-object playfulness of heads such as Wolf Eyes, Smegma & the wilder end of the Peter King Records sound.
The Feelin’ project harks back to a culture of DIY bootlegging and trade in the noise community. It takes its inspiration from the Shunyata Improvisational Group manifesto, foregrounding the importance of improvisational composition as a process of attentive listening.
Brachliegen Tapes are distributing a 7” lathe cut mini-album version of the project, with 10 tracks harvested from the project’s 23 movements. Listeners are encouraged to make copies and bootleg the release, with one condition: no digital streaming, all reproduction must be physickal in nature.
Take a punt and share the wealth, be your own private press. Home taping is killing music, let it all dissolve into noise…
