I once wrote a letter to an estranged family member, and then burned it. My early years were marked by the destructive tendencies of just such a person, and I suppose I'll never recover—I doubt he'll recover either. This song is exposed—it's real. Does anyone really love you? Some of this is statement. Some of this is question. They are equally sincere.
