Fresh Linen by Various Artists

‘Fresh Linen’ is a compilation from Adelaide record label Bleu Avian which was formed in 2018 by Alnitak Kid & Nelson Dialect. It showcases over an hour and a half of unreleased music from the artists who have been a part of the Bleu Avian family for the last 3 years and in that time contributed consistently to the Adelaide live music & DJ community.

Inspired by the ‘Pieces of Soundpieces’ mixtape by Lootpack, Alnitak Kid aimed to deliver a blend in that mood to set an entry point for those unacquainted with the label and folks already familiar to hear unreleased music that has been in the vault between official releases.

The tape features dubbed out SP404 cuts from beatmaker Critical Mass. Modern excursions in soul, R&B and beats by vocalist and producer Southpaw. Psychedelic rap on the collaboration between Alnitak Kid & Cazeaux O.S.L.O on “Black Dad Rock”. House movements on the tune ‘Ronda’ from Nate88 & Alnitak Kid as Prod Laver.

There are cutting room floor sketches by Cazeaux O.S.L.O & Nelson Dialect from the Sunset Cities LP sessions. Along with vault tracks from the ‘Snoopy Cap’ tape by Dialect and Alnitak Kid who form as Photograph Your Aura, and with Nate88 as Variations of Light.

There is a limited run of long sleeve Bleu Avian logo t-shirts, as seen on the album cover artwork, custom made for ‘Fresh Linen’ which bears the label motto “Many Windows” on the tag. Each shirt purchase comes with a free digital download of the compilation.

‘Fresh Linen’ is a thread in Adelaide music; in particular the beats community all the artists share a common passion for.
