The Parish by vide

Swirling the salvation of scum swamp serenity does the weary woe spectre vide raise hordes of audial nightmares by raw post black metal misery, domestication of self and sorrow reanimated by sordid memories of the here and now, the then and there, as phantoms hypnotise the heart into a gnarled corpse.

Shambling from the bayou since the age of 2018, vide requires little introduction to those hungering for the manifold flavours of black metal, the depressive and cathartic emissions of vide leaving their stain upon the tomb kults for many an age now. Incantation after incantation of subversive, sordid and sullen has vide ensorcelled from its marshland domain, etching out a specific niche of introspective depressive black metal, tendrils of sonic suffering choking those experiencing any of vide’s submerged library of psychically devastating grimoires. Now, after two full-length incantations, five demos, two splits and many singles, vide once again lets loose a deluge of buzzing flies to drown the mortal world with, a new full-length incantation to burrow the maggots into rotting flesh.

The Parish is the squalor of the swamp and the suffering of the sordid. A relentless torment of bass driven raw black depression, emaciated howls swirling around forgotten audial samples of deranged false memories, as screeching tremolo melodics create dissonant vacuums from which there is no escape, nor no need for escape, as the hypnosis of harm draws back those possessed to wreak havoc upon themselves again and again. Leering grins of self-inflicted fires set ablaze with gnashing torment and kingdoms incinerated by empty eye citizens gone mad. The perfect evolution of the crawling subversion vide has been ensorcelling ever stronger since its inception, The Parish is a haunting incantation of borrowed time and spirits left adrift upon repressed inner sewage, streams of hollow lifeforce that ebbs and flows down the drain pipes of the void; an audial memoir of shambling deep dirge black metal that creeps under the skin and squirms rot with each bearing of despondent brood that is birthed beneath.
