This month's consultation provided a resounding "OH YEAH!" when we played the latest forbidden incantation for our clairvoyant talisman. Our mystical mojo speaks the truth; this recording conjures a sound so ferocious that it feels ripped from the underworld. As our movement grows, it's an honor to be able to commune with our roots and highlight a talented artist from our home base in Washington, D.C. — enter XT92 and behold his sorcery!

"Gritty Steppa" is an exhilarating exercise anchored by bubbling synth sequences and a grimy, distorted acid line that surges throughout the track. The drum work is fluid and clean, keeping the pace skipping along nicely. The various vocal samples XT92 chose are used to their maximum possible effect and embellish key moments of tension and release. This is one for dancing with arms akimbo; this is one for driving fast; this is one for all the gritty steppas out there!

Like a necromancer conjuring undead from the earth, XT92 has reanimated "Gritty Steppa" for only six days. Make sure to add "Gritty Steppa" to your collection before the time is up because it may not be as easy to claim this revived soul after that; it may cost yours.
