then I watch big yellow machines tearing scars in the soil

Now the spectre of progress casts a long shadow over the land
now the litter of luxury is laying washed up on the sand
now the lemmings all run to the sea but they find that the water is gone
another liquid has taken it's place and the waves roll on and on and on and on
