🥔 The Manifesto of Kartoffelrock: Sounds from Soil, Rhythm from Soul

We, the creators of Kartoffelrock, declare to the world that music can grow straight from the ground—sprouting from potato fields, apartment blocks, and platform three of the main railway station.

Kartoffelrock is not a genre. It’s the spirit of Greater Poland.

🎶 1. Sounds That Taste

The music of Kartoffelrock tastes like potatoes with cottage cheese. It doesn’t pretend to be sophisticated. It’s gritty, grounded, soaked in mud and melancholy. We use whatever’s within reach:

🧠 2. Irony Is Our Fuel

We’re not a copy of Krautrock. We’re its younger, rebellious cousin from Poznań. We mock ourselves to survive the daily grind. We mock the world to carve out space within it. With humor and distance, we make noise, because sometimes that’s the only way to be heard.

🌍 3. Locality Is Our Universe

You don’t need Berlin to feel avant-garde. Avant-garde happens wherever a tram screeches and a potato burns. From Dębiec, from Rataje, from Piątkowo—we make music from places no one imagined could hold artistic force. Kartoffelrock is the avant-garde of the everyday, beating in time with a corner store queue.

🚜 4. We’re Farmers of Sound

We sow rhythms, we harvest melodies. Our process is slow music—no quick trends from TikTok. Every song is like a potato harvest: a little crooked, but genuine and nourishing.

📢 5. The Future Belongs to the Potato

Instead of chasing modernity elsewhere, we create it from the ground up. Kartoffelrock is a musical element that can sprout anywhere there’s soul, soil, and a pinch of rage.
