Ogushi by Betts(JP)

Betts(JP) is an artist based in Japan.　His music is inspired by the sounds he has recorded in various places, especially in the area where he lives. The sounds consist of field recordings and guitar samples. One of the characteristics of his work is that it is almost devoid of personal thought. The concept of his work is to thoroughly express the landscape through sound.

This album is their most exciting and most pop-oriented work. It incorporates coarse guitar noises and is produced with a rock approach. The field recordings were done in a small seaside town, next to a fisherman; Ogushi 03 has real waves and ship whistle-like sounds, even though no environmental recordings were used, but these are all made with guitar noises.
