Trash, like beauty, is in the eye of the disposer. One persons trash is another ones treasure, be it an object, an experience, or even a person. Belaver’s “Trash" tells the story of embracing despair and shifting perspectives to see the beauty and find peace in trash situations.

Belaver is the project of NYC-based songwriter Ben Godfrey. In 2014 Godfrey released his debut EP, Wild Desperation, produced by songwriter Robert Ellis, with elegantly stark instrumentation and ominous murderous narratives. In 2019 Robert Ellis produced a follow-up Belaver LP, True Love of Crime, as lush contrast to Wild Desperation with electronic elements over themes of lovers on the run.
