Clara Bow from Myne Owne by Becky Sinn
The story of Clara Bow's life broke my heart as a teenager. She was the "It" girl. She was a beautiful and bubbly trailblazer of innocent sexuality and rose to the top despite a horrific childhood. She was a silent movie siren but when the "talkies" came around she was rendered obsolete, Hollywood forgot about her and so did the public. I wanted to write a song about artists I knew and loved but none of my friends seemed to have a clue about.
