The main assumption of “The Numeric Series”, as we have called it, is to encourage recipient to search. There is no information at all anywhere on the CD – about the artists, about the tracks, no liner notes at all. This release may contain music from artists well known or debutants. It may be never unreleased works, having been made especially for occasion of our experiment or music that has already appeared on some other releases. We would like to separate music from semantics, to allow our recipient to experience the sound itself, not being burdened with the stigma of artist’s name. Dozens of reviews and opinions can interfere with our attitude to music, even before we insert the CD or the tape into our soundsystem.
We recommend to meet this tunes and – if it arouses your enthusiasm – to search for something more. Maybe you will be able to find just the name of the project from the tape, maybe something stylistically similar. Maybe you will find nothing that you have expected, but you will discover some absolutely new interesting sounds from different aesthetics that you have had no idea of existing before?
Three parts of this series were released by our previous incarnation as Oficyna Biedota on tapes, in limited edition of 33 each.
This release is a continuation of that idea in wider form and consists 8 tracks, with 46 minutes of music in total.
Mentioned tapes are sold out, but audio can be found at http://oficynabiedota.bandcamp.com/ (stream or free download possible)
