Another day is gone, and it’s off to bed
For a date within her sleep
The night lamp switches of and she slumbers
And then her man arrives
He draws the shade and lies down by her side
She’s waited far too long for her lover

He touches tenderly; they are deep in love with each other

And when the morning comes, she can’t face the day
A lonely twelve hour waste
