Lyrics
There once was a ship that went to sea, and the name of the ship was… Unfortunately, lost to the waves.
It is not uncommon for ships to vanish, and never return home. Likewise, the phenomenon of ghost ships is spread through folklore in many cultures, because it was such a common occurrence. The sea is dangerous after all.
On this pale morning, however, a crash wakes you from your bed. A crowd gathers outside, in town square, to see the beloved clocktower, a familiar sight, crashed, leaning upon the hulking wreck of a ship.
The ship seems to have floated in on the tide, riding up upon the steep cliffs of the town, until it’s nearly vertical, crashing into the side of the clocktower. The wood is old and faded, and seaweed clings to the decrepit hull desperately. It looks to be from around the eighteen hundreds, and on the side of the hull, is printed a name. Too faded to read, unfortunately, but you can tell that a name used to be there.
The clock strikes five in the morning, and then falls still. The silence is deafening. There is no point returning to sleep, as the unease sets in across town.
Bravely, one townsfolk steps forward, to explore the wreckage of the ship. I enter. I will not return from its depths.
It is the first day of Leviathan.
