A live recording from a concert at Ex Abrupto festival during Babau’s 2021 Summer tour, this namesake publication photographs the labyrinthine and ever-moving sound the duo has been crafting haphazardly but dedicatedly in the last four years. Completely improvised using several of the project’s sonic midi repertoires, audio textures and digital techniques, Ex Abrupto! exposes Babau’s fascination for liquid, vibrant computer compositions and vertiginous vocals/winds extravaganzas, bouncing relentlessly from one sound to another. Sometimes it just feels like being inside a track.
