Triana by Ayplan

So, here we are.

It's been 4 years since i released my last album during those murky days of lockdowns as the early 2020's arrived with many concerns and uncertainties. 4 years is a very long time for me considering how i used to release frequent albums on a year by year basis, but i do feel that time helps create better pieces of art.

I worked on Triana from the midway point of 2023 all the way through to the end of 2024. My intention was to always be free from time constraints when creating these songs between my travels and certain life experiences.

The overall sound and concept of this album was inspired by my travels throughout a number of locations within Europe in 2023 and 2024.

These specific places fundamentally shaped the sound of this release;

Florence to Rome in Italy,
Edinburgh in Scotland,
Sevilla in Spain,
Venice in Italy,
Bruges in Belgium,
Vienna to Salzburg in Austria,
Prague in Czech Republic

This album has also been impacted by how living in the UK is now a complete and utter nightmare for the British born underclasses that are constantly ignored and sometimes despised by brainwashed people that think they have the moral high ground or are oblivious to how the British born lower classes are sorely treated.

In the UK, George Orwell's dystopian novel 1984 has become a reality every single day under disastrous governments that go all the way back to 1997. My travels and creations have been a much welcomed escape from the current state of affairs in the UK. I was able to be inspired and create an album whilst stepping out/viewing the UK from a distance before returning back to the belly of the beast.
