Geschichte des Albums:

„Wenn die Erde einmal vollends mit Betonkästen bedeckt sein wird, werden die Wolkenspiele immer noch da sein, und es werden da und dort Menschen sich mit Hilfe der Kunst eine Tür zum Göttlichen offenhalten.“ - Hermann Hesse

Der Titel des Albums „skying“ geht zurück auf die Maler John Constable und William Turner, die sich beide zeitlebens mit Wolkenstudien beschäftigt haben. Die einzelnen Klangstücke sind akustische Interpretationen verschiedener Wolkenarten. Die Titel der einzelnen Soundscapes haben ihren Ursprung in der Klassifikation der Wolken von Luke Howard. Das Cover dieses Albums zeigt einen Ausschnitt meines Gemäldes „Wolken (rot)“, welches auch auf www.christiandoil.de zu finden ist.

The title of the album "skying" goes back to the painters John Constable and William Turner, who both spent their lives studying clouds. The individual sound pieces are acoustic interpretations of different types of clouds. The titles of the individual soundscapes have their origin in Luke Howard's classification of clouds.
