Die Zeiten, in der man Black Metal vornehmlich mit Satanismus und anderen fragwürdigen Ideologien verbunden hat, sind seit gut 20 Jahren vorbei. Doch besonders in den letzten Jahren, mit dem Aufkommen der sogenannten "Post-Black-Metal" Bewegung, emanzipierte sich das Genre vollständig von seinen häufig fragwürdigen skandinavischen Wurzeln. Heute wird das Genre auf der ganzen Welt gespielt und mitunter auch mit anderen Genres wie Shoegaze vermischt.
In dieser Zusammenstellung hört ihr über eine Stunde modernen Black Metal von Bands aus Ländern wie Russland, USA, Australien oder Rumänien. Bands und Projekte, die sich der Stimmung und dem typischen Sound des Black Metals annehmen, ihn jedoch auf eigene Weise interpretieren. Tiefgründige Atmosphäre, großartige Melodien und roher Sound stellen im Black Metal dabei keine Widersprüche dar.

The times when Black Metal have been connected mainly with satanism and other questionable ideologies have been over since the late 90s. But specially with the rise of the "post-black-metal" movement in the recent years this genre emancipated entirely from its often questionable scandinavian roots. Today Black Metal is a worldwide music phenomenon. Musicians from all over the world create their own vision of this genre or connect Black Metal with other genres like Shoegaze and other Metal styles.
With this compilation you can discover some modern bands of this genre or bands who are heavy influenced. With a total running time of nearly 70 minutes you can make your own picture of this fascinating music with his very deep atmospherics, great melodies and raw sounds.
