Kölschner by Jonas Engel / Asger Thomsen

Kölschner is a new live album featuring German reedist Jonas Engel and Danish double bassist Asger Thomsen. The two have been
working together in many projects but this is the first published
statement as a duo. Based on free-form stream-of-consciousness improvisations with a focus on otherworldly sounds and fragmented gestures, the duo have come together to explore the outer
limits of the acoustic potential of traditional instrumentation through
preparation and self-developed instrumental technique
