The Voyager by Arti Fex

This 6-track-EP depicts a conceptional musical journey featuring the heroic space traveller Morton Wright. Starting from Earth far, far in the future, he will ultimately be the first human ever to encounter an unknown alien species on planet Tau Ceti f in another solar system approximately 12 lightyears away.

Every track marks a milestone of Morton Wright's journey:

1 - The Mission

Humanity of the future has collected inescapable evidence about an alien species living in the Tau Ceti System approximately 12 lightyears away. Now, the entire race is in need of one person brave enough to go on a mission with an uncertain outcome. It is unknown if the space traveller will succeed in finding and making contact with the aliens. Will he ever return?


2 - Morton Wright

... is his name. He is the chosen one, the hero, the pioneer. Brave enough to go on the mission, leaving everything behind. While he himself is looking into an indefinite future, humanity is cheering on their hero, celebrating the astronaut's inauguration.


3 - Verticality

The hero has boarded the spacecraft. He is about to be boosted off into the atmosphere and Earth's orbit, with his body resisting the pressure of a multiple of G. After experiencing the fascination of 0 G for a short amount of time, the second stage of his hyperspace engine will ignite, catapulting him out of the solar system in superluminal velocity.


4 - The Nexus

Morton Wright's spacecraft reaches the point of no return. He will have to overcome interstellar turbulences while passing by numerous supergravitational objects. As the space traveller perpetuates through the so-called Nexus, he will ultimately lose radio contact to mission control, leaving him on his own for the remainder of his flight to the Tau Ceti System.


5 - Tau Ceti

Danger and beauty are striking the space-travelling hero's eyes as he finally reaches the Tau Ceti System, which, with the presumably inhabited planet Tau Ceti f, marks the goal of his journey.


6 - Idw'aila

After landing on Tau Ceti f with its stormy atmosphere and desert-like landscape, Morton Wright will finally become the first human to make direct contact with an unknown alien species. A friendly, grey-skinned ambassador welcomes the space traveller: "Idw'aila." The Tau Ceti word for "welcome."
