A somber tone rings out through the ethers
A warrior's time has come
To be carried to the heavens
And live among the gods
The trumpets blow their mournful song
As the soul is carried home
Where honored warriors rest
Forever

A life of loyalty, honor and valour
A man of strength
He travelled this land far and wide
Never straying from his tribe
He kept his word and oath
A testament to true reverence

Can you hear the cry
Of the valkyries in flight
Sent out from above
To take our comrades home
Cross the threshold to the next life
To be among the fallen in Valhalla

All gather together around the parted
As the rain comes down hard and cold
Trees blow from the cry of the Northern winds
As lovers' hearts shatter in pain
a somber affliction befalls all

A mother falls to her knees
And cries for her son
As his father carries him to the pyre
Fires set ablaze, smoke rises
To set his soul free

The gods claim him and take him home
Carried to the heavens
Now his journey is complete
