sky omens by annwen roberts

sky omens is about navigation hardship, trauma, grief, male violence and loss in an ever-changing landscape. i look to the sky to guide me through my life , asking the clouds for omens to show me the way.

Annwen is a Tasmanian violinist whose musical roots are in folk music. Her current influences are hard bop, bebop, folk punk, Mingus style big band music and free improvisation.

Her debut album SKY OMENS is about searching for comfort in the skyline as she moves around australia through hardship and trauma, and was supported by a UniMelb IgniteLab Grant.
