Transtilla
is Anne-Chris Bakker and Romke Kleefstra, who’ve already produced a sizable body of work together within Kleefstra|
Bakker|Kleefstra over the last ten years. In the spring of 2019 Bakker and Kleefstra published their first album under the
moniker of Transtilla. This debut, simply called Transtilla I and released on Opa Loka Records, is a pleasant meshing of
improvised dark ambient textures, guitar melodies and frequently banks of deep dark drones that sometimes seem to refer to
bands like Labradford, Main and the Kranky label in general. Transtilla II was recorded in the slipstream of Transtilla I and
refines the Transtilla sound.

Anne Chris Bakker is a musician from the Netherlands who creates music somewhere between electro acoustic, experimental, ambient and minimal music.
