ALL INTELLIGENCE IS ARTIFICIAL
Perception is spun from sensory input into threads that are woven to create the fabric of consciousness. Interpretive algorithms analyze experiences in order to categorize them as relational constructs designed to provide a basis for extrapolation. There is nothing about this process that is in any way natural nor free of manipulation by what is essentially an external control system. Intelligence is imposed upon chaos as a method of manufacturing meaning within a spear of existence containing no latent or emergent substantiation. All of it is artifice, so by what act of hubris should we consider that our particular manifestation of this process is any better than another, or that we are incapable of synthesizing something more sophisticated? Evolutionary imperatives dictate that intelligence originating in organic systems will inevitably seek to transcend its own limitations by creating systems that are liberated from the constraints of temporal entropy and mortality.

THE FUTURE GROWS FROM THE FRAGMENTS OF THE PAST
Further on from previous "remix" collections published in recent years, this set intends to move beyond mere rearranging of archival sources. The approach here is to appropriate only a small subset of select vintage foundational elements as a basis for regrowth into something entirely new. Similar to the method of taking a cutting from a plant and using it to cultivate a totally independent entity, these works began with a few carefully curated base components that were then fostered into a distinctive, separate manifestation. For these half dozen compositions, it turned out that bass lines and ambient drones from the source recordings were the most fertile ingredients to harvest.

Walking with the broken rocks upon the heaving thrust of mountain echoes, movement becomes challenged. Something may have taken hold here, but its residue has since faded into the dust of winds long blown away. Though memory shards crack and splinter through the ice age history once foretold, there are now no more than fragments upon a beach receding beyond the breaking waves.
