Cantiga I by Anaís Azul
“Cantiga I” is part of a collection of 7 songs or cantigas in Gallego Portuguese written in the medieval era by Martim Codax. This is a re-interpretation of the medieval practices of ornamentation and improvisation in my own style. I also creates an electroacoustic environment throughout the song as I accompany myself on ukulele and with the sounds of the sea of Lima, Peru.
