Soaring Ora by Zara
Partly based on Gadigal Land, partly based in London UK, Zara strengthens her European connection with a debut release on experimental Swiss imprint amenthia recordings. With previous outings on Australian outlets such as Animalia, Salt Mines, Pure Space and her own Kinesis Recordings this EP marks an important moment in her young but prolific career.
Zara is known for her hypnotic and genre-fluid approach to music. From progressive tech-trance to pitch dark mind bending rhythms, her sound can’t be captured in just one genre. True to form on Soaring Ora, she refuses to limit herself to just one style. Instead, the whole four-track EP is a well-rounded document where Zara finds herself in sound. From swinging percussion steppers at 150 bpm to steely eyes-closed techno. It’s a pack that hybridises styles with precision, optimized for dark dancefloors and sub heavy soundsystems.
