Lyrics
I wish to delete this
entitled, elitist
culture that is bleeding
our soul in a beating;
depleting and fleeting
from time interceding
between all of the pleading
and repeated infractions,
attracting distractions
from that satisfaction
that’s back in recession
depression has set in.
Regret and forget it
and just let it be prophetic,
completely copasetic
‘til the time has come to shed it;
radically and manically poetic and kinetic,
wherever we are headed.
The next revolution must be waged
within the lines of the minds of the times that rage
on either side of a divided stage;
the time has come to run and just engage today.
Another attempt
to discard and forget
the final lament
of the ever inept,
by the powers that be
that, in some way, foresee
that they must intercede
with their authority.
So, the bottom still struggles
through layers of trouble
to break through the bubble
and get to the shuttle.
The other half is not a half,
but an overlooked fraction of this and that,
that’s lumped and cast
into the same, old caste
and stashed at last
to pass away and cause no harm;
but where is the one who will stand up
and ring the alarm?
The next revolution must be waged
within the lines of the minds in the times that rage
on either side of a divided stage;
the time has come to run and just engage today.
Is it even possible to salvage what is left,
or has the time arrived to stop and press eject?
Is it even possible to salvage what is left,
or has the time arrived to stop and press eject?
As the council recounts
all the countless accounts
of every detail
and every last ounce,
the charges that plague
still remain here in play
and dismay relays
to my failing frame
to convey the decay
that displays every stain
on a wavering chain
that is breaking but stays the same
and still remains unchanged.
So, the next revolution, it must be waged
within the lines of the minds in the times that rage
on either side of a divided stage;
the time has come to run and just engage today.
