Empyrion by ambientfunk
Empyrion (meaning “in the fire“) is a reimagining of Stockhausen’s Gesang der Jünglinge composed with voice, effect pedals, and percussion. The text in the booklet borrows from the 18th century classic Chinese novel, Dream of the Red Chamber, which is also the source for the popular Chinese soap opera Song of Youth.
Empyrion comes also as a vinyl LP 12“ in a limited edition of 8 copies, sleeve design in screen printing technique and with a 16-page booklet. Released through edition liane.

ambientfunk is the moniker of Klaus Killisch, based in Berlin. As a teenager he built his own guitar, inspired by a photo of a Fender Stratocaster. This guitar is still part of his music production. ambientfunk collaborated with a number of musicians, visual artists and poets, notable with Mikael Eriksson, Robert Fitterman, Enkidu rankX and Richard Sylvarnes.
