THE CLEANSING unfolded as an act of raw honesty, born of necessary deep healing work. I wrote it on the other side of an unplanned pregnancy, a commitment to the fantasy of a family with someone I created codependent patterns with, a painful miscarriage that shattered that fantasy, and an experiment in breaking up. ✨🌊✨ A friend told me “When you break up with someone, you need to go cold turkey and cut all contact. Otherwise, it will be like an active volcano between you - you never know when it’s going to erupt!” This is what sparked the experimental detox, the cleansing from addiction to codependent patterns, and the liberation of healing with self-central love that became an album.
