Walpurigs Night by Amanda West
Once upon a time, when she was 16, Amanda started her first band.
With her friend Tam, they chose the name, Walpurgis Night, honoring the festival of their Celtic ancestors, celebrated on the night of April 30th. Associated with the holiday Beltaine, one of the cross-quarter holidays of the pagan year, Walpurigs Night is a time for bonfires, revelries, and marking the turning of time.
Amanda's first band, Walpurigs Night, played all original songs by Amanda and Tam. Amanda carried on the name and the band after she moved from her hometown of Albany, California, to Santa Cruz, California, to attend college at UCSC.
From there Walpurigs Night took it's first tour up the West Coast to Seattle in 2003, playing shows along the way, and selling copies of this very album.
Now, 22 years later, it finally comes to the digital streaming world of music.
