I slip away into that room where I neither work nor try, I just breathe
Lounging in my spacious cell

My family’s living on that hill way over there
And I ain’t got nowhere to go
My life is in a state of sad repair because I know
I’m living on my own
In this mess I now call home
I hope I find another place to go

I can’t stay any longer, or else I’ll just embarrass myself
To the little room, where I can play my tunes
I want to get out of this town, I’ve seen it all and it’s a bore
I mean I wanna go home but home ain’t even home no more
