Having grown up on the Cape flats of South Africa, Alan Abrahams moved to London at the end of the 1990s and began producing music there. Within quite a short time, he had made a name for himself with his project Portable, and later as Bodycode, as an exquisite producer of experimental electronica, techno and house – often rooted in deep house.
