Agnes Zsigmondi McCraven has toured extensively in Europe as the lead singer and recorder player of the Hungarian group Kolinda. Using authentic folk materials and instruments the they composed their own music and were extremely popular in Hungary and in the West. Since leaving Hungary, Agnes has been, developing her unique voice blending East-European folk idioms with jazzy improvisational style.
