Wildflowers by Adam Rudolph

This live recording captures two brilliant improvisers creating in the moment in response to sight, sound, breath, the season, time of day and audience feeling.

Although the listener to this audio recording cannot “hear” Oguri’s dance movements, his creative presence is profoundly present as it affected and helped shape the playing dynamics of Rudolph's percussion performance. Body movements become transformed into sound forms.

For the past 25 years Butoh innovator Oguri and world percussion pioneer Adam Rudolph have presented their music and dance collaboration to audiences around the USA and Europe. This recording captures one of those events.

Superbly recorded by Stephe Cooper and beautifully mixed by James Dellatacoma.
