The Spires compositions are evocations of the Watts Towers – Nuestro Pueblo – built by Sabato “Simon” Rodia in Los Angeles between 1921 and 1955.
In Moonlight Lies is a setting of the poem by Lorine Niedecker (1903-1970). Permission granted by Bob Arnold, Literary Executor for the Estate of Lorine Niedecker.
