AAD is proud to unleash the first tape from newcomer Haldorsen.
The artist contacted me with a very bold and detailed submission letter with unique and interesting content, which compelled me to put this one out, officially launching this project into the Harsh Noise sphere.
Blown out, spaced out, reverb drenched walls of psychedelic noise recorded in a tea-induced trance.
Haldorsen is a devoted Gong Fu tea enthusiast and describes it as a ritual that gets him in the right headspace for making his noise. The traditional ceremony involves careful preparation of the tea which requires disciplined skill and practice...this same attention to detail is applied to setting up a signal chain to fine tune and manipulate his chosen sound sources.
The noise and accompanying theme/imagery don't really contain any obvious relationship without proper context...but they are indeed both utilized by the artist simultaneously, making them unquestionably connected and unified.
