WOODALLALONE by Aaron Woodall

When my wife told me she was leaving, I was devastated. And I coped with it in the unhealthiest/only way I knew how: I found an open mic. I spent the next couple years working on a set that would try to honestly document the downward spiral my life was in. There was something thrilling and therapeutic in telling everyone exactly how depressed and angry and hurt I was and then making them laugh about it with me. These were my favorite shows I've ever done, the time I grew the most as a comedian, and the time I connected most with audiences. Everyone has had their heart broken, and I loved having a little communal catharsis together.
This mixtape is the culmination of all that group therapy and I'm fairly proud of it. I wanted to make something funny that still captured how sad and unhinged I felt, and I definitely did half of that. I hope you like it.
